Jay Rothman

Jay Rothman has been working as a professional in the music industry since 2007. Jay received a BA in Music from Washington University in St. Louis studying guitar, piano, and sitar, and wrote his senior thesis on the Development of Compositional Techniques of The Beatles. After graduating he moved back to the New York area and studied Audio Production and Engineering at HarvestWorks in Soho while composing for film and playing in a few local bands. While going for his MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design he began composing for New York-based Audio Branding firm Audiobrain. After graduation he took a full-time position with Audiobrain composing music and sound design for NBC, Microsoft, and Virgin Mobile among many others. After four years at Audiobrain he is now excited to team up with fellow composer/producer Roman Molino Dunn to start
Mirrortone Studios.
Roman Molino Dunn

Roman Molino Dunn graduated with an accelerated BA/MA, attaining both his undergraduate degree in music theory and his Master’s in music composition in 4 years. Mr. Molino Dunn studied composition and mathematics and computation in counterpoint with some of the best in the field. As a producer, Mr. Molino Dunn's music has been featured on television, independent films, and radio. His compositions have received numerous awards and are published worldwide. Before

As a sheet music engraver, Mr. Molino Dunn has worked for A-list composers, as well as their respective publishers, including Sikorski, Boosey & Hawkes, Schirmer, and Musica Russica. His sheet music engravings have graced the stands of The New York Philharmonic, Hamburg Ballet, Tokyo String Quartet, and the Vienna Staatsoper, most notably. The Music Transcriber, Mr. Molino Dunn has developed a number of sheet music plug-ins purchased by Sibelius®, a division of Avid, for integration in the Sibelius Music Notation software program. Over 80 of his plug-ins have been published by Sibelius or sold through various Internet outlets, and his sales have included many major music publication outlets and recognized composers. He is also an active, certified plug-in developer for Pro Tools®. As a music theorist, Mr. Molino Dunn has presented papers and lectured on mathematical counterpoint world-wide, and draws no difference between, math, music, software, and music technology.
